FISHING REPORT - 29/9/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has really picked up over the past week, with anglers landing some quality fish.  A couple of local anglers reported on landing in excess of 80 fish over a 3 day period.  These fish were landed on frozen shrimp.  Most of these fish were landed in the deeper water.  Lure anglers are also managing to land some nice fish.  Blades seem to be working the best at present while being casted toward the structure.  There have also been a few fish caught while trolling OSP Blitzers.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is also fishing quite well, with anglers reporting of some good number being landed.  Most of these fish were caught on bait.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON: Both Maroon and Moogerah are fishing quite well at the moment.  There have been some good number of Bass landed at Maroon while casting soft plastics at the edges and weed pockets.  Anglers at Moogerah are seeing best result while fishing in the timber towards the southern end of the dam.  The boat traffic over the school holidays have slowed things down slightly.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creek systems are also producing some nice fish.  Local anglers have managed to land some nice Golden Perch in the Condamine River to the east of Warwick.  Again, the majority of these fish fell to bait.  There have also been quote a few catfish landed over the past few weeks.  The Dalrymple Creek around Allora has also seen a few nice fish caught.
