FISHING REPORT - 9/12/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam is still fishing very well with local anglers reporting on some great catches.  One local angler landed 30 lovely Golden Perch while trolling small hard body lures.  Fish are being landed all over the dam, anglers landing good fish across from the dam wall and up the back of the dam past the Black Boys.  The bait anglers are having success on a variety of bait with Saltwater yabbies landing some nice fish.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is fish well too.  One local angler has been having success on TN70 Jackalls.  The majority of the fish are being landed along the steep edges.  Bait anglers are also landing some nice Golden and Silver Perch on worms.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam continues to fish well with anglers picking up some nice Bass on a variety of lures.  Tail spinners and blades have been accounting of a large percentage of these fish, with anglers also some picking up some nice fish in the timber on spinnerbaits.  Maroon has also been fishing quite well, with shrimps being quite successful.  Soft plastics sliders have been working very well for the lure anglers.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Anglers are having great success in our local river and creek systems.  One local angler landed a lovely Murray Cod in the Killarney area on a Stumpjumper.  The Mill Hole has also produced some nice fish, with anglers landing some lovely Golden Perch while trolling hard body lures.  There was also a very healthy 65cm Murray Cod landed in the Condamine to the west of Allora.

Fishing Report - 2/12/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish quite well for both the lure anglers as well as the bait anglers.  Local anglers still managed to catch some nice fish, with blades and hard body lures being the most successful.  Anglers have also had success trolling Stumpjumpers.  Live shrimp have been working the best for the bait anglers, with some quality Golden Perch being landed during the week.  There was also two legal sized Murray Cod landed on spinnerbaits while casting at the structure.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is also fishing quite well.  Local anglers have been landing some nice Golden and Silver Perch on smaller profile hard body lures.  Worms also accounted for a few fish over the weekend.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Both Bass dams continue to fish well.  Maroon has probably been the pick, with anglers landing some quality fish on a variety of lures.  Early in the morning and later in the afternoon seems to be the times to try.  OSP Bent Minnows have been the pick of the surface lures.

COOLMUNDA DAM: Coolmunda is fishing very well at the moment, with anglers reporting on some nice Golden Perch, as well as some nice Murray Cod, being landed on spinnerbaits and larger hard body lures.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creek systems are also fishing quite consistent at present.  Local anglers have landed some nice Golden Perch and Murray Cod on both lures and bait.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed in the Mill Hole over the weekend.  There were also some quality Golden Perch as well as a couple of legal sized Murray Cod landed in the Pratten area

FISHING REPORT - 25/11/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has continued to fish extremely well over the past week or so.  Early morning and late afternoon have been the best times to try due to the hot weather conditions.  There have been some nice fish landed on both lures and bait.  Anglers have reported on landing some legal sized Murray Cod as well as some quality Golden Perch.  The lure anglers are having success on TN60 Jackalls, Little Rippers and Imakatsu Piranhas. The bait anglers are having success on live shrimp and saltwater yabbies.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam has been fishing very well also with anglers reporting on some nice fish on a variety of lures and live bait.  One local angler had success on Mask Vibes.  Anglers are also landing some nice fish on worms and saltwater yabbies.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Both Bass dams have been fishing well with anglers picking up some nice fish.  Both dams has seen an increase in boating traffic due to the warmer weather conditions.  Anglers at Moogerah are having success while casting blades in the timbered area towards the back of the dam.  There were also several legal sized Bass landed in the mouth of the gorge.  One local angler at Maroon landed some quality Bass on Keitech Easy Shiners.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Anglers have landed some nice fish in our local rivers and creeks over the past week.  We have had reports of some quality Golden Perch being landed in the Condamine to the west of Warwick on spinnerbaits and hard body lures.  There was also a lovely Murray Cod landed in the Pratten area on a hard body.  Local anglers also picked up several Murray Cod and Golden Perch to the east of Warwick on Predateks and Oargees.

FISHING REPORT - 18/11/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam fished quite well early on Saturday morning before the windy conditions started.  A local angler reported on landing some nice fish while casting Jackalls at the structure.  There were plenty quality Golden Perch landed  late last week, mainly on hard body lures and blades.  Live shrimps and salt water yabbies also worked well for the bait anglers.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam was probably a better options over the weekend as anglers could shelter themselves from the windy conditions.  There were a few nice Golden Perch landed on spinnerbaits and hard body lures, while the bait anglers picked up some nice Golden and Silver Perch on live shrimp and a few Catfish on worms.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: The Bluefin Lake Maroon Fish Classic was held last week.  From all reports it was another successful event with competitors landing some nice fish.  The weather conditions  were a bit harsh at times but everyone seemed to have an enjoyable weekend.  There was a lot of boat traffic at Moogerah due to this fishing competition at Maroon.  Anglers seemed to manage to pick up a few nice Bass up in the more sheltered areas.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creeks continue to fish well.  However, the windy conditions over the weekend didn't do any favours for the fisherman.  There were still some nice Golden Perch landed in and around the Warwick town area.  The annual Warwick Carp Fishing Competition was held on the Condamine River on Sunday morning.  There were in excess of 100 registrations with approximately nine of these pests being removed from the river.  A big thank you must go to the organisers and supporters of this event.

Fishing Report - 11/11/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish very well, with anglers landing fish all over the dam.  Hard body lures and blades are working well, with both trolling and casting methods working the best.  There were plenty of legal sized Golden Perch landed up near the Black Boys, Cod Alley and south of the dam wall.  One local angler reported on landing 22 legal sized Golden Perch on Imakatsu Piranhas.  There were also several legal sized Murray Cod over the weekend, with a Millmerran angler catching and releasing one estimated to weigh around 60 pound.  All types of bait worked, with anglers reporting on good numbers being landed.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is fishing very well at the moment.  Local anglers have reported on some good numbers being landed on both lures and bait.  Fish have been landed in various spots around the dam, with kayak based anglers picking up some nice fish while trolling hard body lures.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Both dams are fishing very well at present.  There were some nice Bass landed in various spots at Moogerah over the weekend.  These fish were caught on a variety of lures, with blades, TN60 Jackalls and Imakatsu Piranhas working the best.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creeks are fishing very well too.  There were good numbers of Golden Perch landed in and around the Warwick town area.  The majority of these fish were landed on hard body bibbed lures.  The Mill Hole produced some nice fish on mask vibes.  There were also some nice Golden Perch caught in the Dalrymple Creek in Allora.

Fishing Report - 4/11/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam is still fishing very well despite the windy conditions over the weekend.  Things were slightly quieter on Saturday  due to these conditions.  There were reports from several anglers on bag limits being filled quite easily.  Golden Perch are very active with anglers landing fish on a variety of hard body lures and bait.  Anglers had success while trolling all over the dam, with the "Black Boys" being one of the more productive areas.  We also had reports of 2 legal Murray Cod  being landed over the weekend.  The best was 82cm and was landed on a TN60 Jackall.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam also saw some quality Golden Perch landed on saltwater yabbies, particularly on Sunday afternoon.  Anglers also reported on having success on spinnerbaits, while casting along the western bank.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Both Bass dams are fishing well at present.  Maroon anglers had success earlier on in the week, with the best results coming from anglers using shrimp along the deeper drop-offs.  One angler also had success early on Sunday morning on OSP Bent Minnows.

RIVER AND CREEKS: The Condamine River continues to fish very well, with reports of several Murray Cod being landed during the past week.  There were three legal sized Cod caught in the town area on hard body lures.  Golden Perch have been very active as well, with quality fish being landed to the east of Warwick as well as Sandy Creek and Pratten.  These fish were landed on a variety of lures as well as bait.  Live shrimps worked the best for the bait anglers.

FISHING REPORT - 28/10/2014


LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish very well, with anglers reporting of good numbers of fish being landed.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed from the bank near the concrete boat ramp on Sunday morning.  The majority of these fish were landed on live shrimp.  Other anglers reported on landing good numbers of Golden Perch while casting and trolling hard body lures and blades.  Fish were caught in various spots all over the dam.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is also fishing quite well. One local angler reported on landing some nice fish over the weekend on TN70 Jackalls.  These fish were landed in the deeper water just of the edge of the weed.  Other anglers reported on landing good numbers while using live shrimp and frozen saltwater yabbies.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON: Anglers at Moogerah have reported on the fish really firing up.  The warmer weather has increased the water temperature, which causes the fish to become more active.  The warmer weather also means an increase in boating traffic.  Make sure to be very careful when on the water.  Hard body lures, blades and live shrimps worked well.

RIVER AND CREEKS: The local rivers and creeks continue to produce some nice fish.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed at Murrays Bridge over the weekend on spinnerbaits.  The were also some quality fish landed in the Pratten area while trolling hard body lures.  Anglers also reported on some good numbers being caught in various spots along e Condamine River in the town area.  The majority of these fish were caught on bait, with hard body lures working the best for the lure anglers.

Fishing Report - 21/10/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish well, despite the windy conditions.  The bait anglers had the most success on saltwater yabbies.  Lure anglers saw the best results while using blades and mask vibes, as well as trolling hard body lures.  One local angler landed six legal sized Golden Perch on OSP Blitz’s.  Most of the fish were caught in 20 feet of water.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam also continues to fish well.  It has been mentioned before that Connolly is a great dam in windy conditions because you can easily find a sheltered position out of the wind.  Both bait and lure anglers picked up some nice fish, with some quality Golden and Silver Perch landed over the weekend.

MOOGERAH/MAROON DAM: Anglers at Moogerah Dam had success in the timber while using TN60 Jackalls and Imakatsu Piranhas.  The fish were mainly located in the deeper water, however there were also some nice fish landed while fishing the edges with soft plastics.  Live shrimp also accounted for some quality Golden Perch, landed in the gorge.  Anglers at Maroon also landed several legal Bass over the weekend.  Early Sunday morning seemed to be the most successful time, with anglers managing to land some quality Bass on surface, before the wind picked up.  There were also several Bass landed by anglers fishing spinnerbaits and small crankbaits on the weed edges.


RIVERS AND CREEKS: Our rivers and creek systems continue to produce some nice fish.  We had numerous reports of anglers landing some quality Golden Perch, with the best numbers coming from the west of Warwick.  A young local angler managed to land 9 Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon on hard body lures, in the Condamine River in the Pratten area.  There were also reports of some nice fish landed at Murrays Bridge on crays.

FISH OF THE WEEK - 14/10/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam is fishing very well at the moment, with anglers landing quality fish over the weekend.  There were huge numbers of Golden Perch landed on live and frozen bait, as well as a variety of hard body lures.  The bait anglers had success on live shrimp and crays, as well as saltwater yabbies.  These fish were landed in the deeper water.  The lure anglers landed fish on lipless crankbaits, hard body lures and blades.  The majority of the fish were landed while casting the structure and trolling.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam continues to fish well with good numbers of Golden and Silver Perch being landed on bait and lures.  Live and frozen shrimp was the most successful for the bait anglers, while spinnerbaits worked well for the lure anglers.  There were also some catfish landed on bait.

MOOGERAH/MAROON DAM: Anglers landed some quality Bass over the weekend at Moogerah.  Anglers had success while trolling Tilsan Bass Lures in the timber.  We also had reports of quality Bass being landed on blades as well as tail spinners.  Most anglers commented on an increase of boat traffic due to the warmer weather.


RIVERS AND CREEKS: We had reports from several anglers of good numbers of Golden Perch as well as several legal sized Murray Cod.  The majority of the fish were landed to the east and west of Warwick.  Most fish were landed on hard body bibbed lures while casting the structure. The lure action is definitely on the increase, mainly due to the warmer water temperature.  Green and black lures were the standout.

FISHING REPORT - 9/10/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish very well, with local anglers reporting on good numbers of fish.  The lure anglers are having success on various hard bodies, blades and Jackalls.  The bait anglers are having huge success on frozen shrimps and saltwater water yabbies.  These fish are still in the deeper water.  We also received reports of some Murray Cod caught and released while trolling hard boys lures.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is also fishing quite well at the moment.  Local anglers have reported on landing good numbers of quality Golden Perch on both lures and bait.  The lures anglers had the best success on Jackalls and JMH Spinnerbaits .There were also plenty of catfish landed on bait.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON: The Bass are on the move with the warmer weather.  Now that the school holidays are over, the boat traffic should return to normal, which should help the fishing.  Anglers had the most success up in the timber and up towards the back of the dam.  Gold coloured blades and tail spinners have been giving anglers the best results.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Anglers are reporting of plenty of fish being landed from our local creeks and rivers.  The catch of the week as a massive Golden Perch, measuring 67cm, landed in the river on a Mumbler.  What a massive fish!  Predatek lures are also working very well. There were also a couple of nice Murray Cod caught and released during the week.

FISHING REPORT - 29/9/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has really picked up over the past week, with anglers landing some quality fish.  A couple of local anglers reported on landing in excess of 80 fish over a 3 day period.  These fish were landed on frozen shrimp.  Most of these fish were landed in the deeper water.  Lure anglers are also managing to land some nice fish.  Blades seem to be working the best at present while being casted toward the structure.  There have also been a few fish caught while trolling OSP Blitzers.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is also fishing quite well, with anglers reporting of some good number being landed.  Most of these fish were caught on bait.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON: Both Maroon and Moogerah are fishing quite well at the moment.  There have been some good number of Bass landed at Maroon while casting soft plastics at the edges and weed pockets.  Anglers at Moogerah are seeing best result while fishing in the timber towards the southern end of the dam.  The boat traffic over the school holidays have slowed things down slightly.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creek systems are also producing some nice fish.  Local anglers have managed to land some nice Golden Perch in the Condamine River to the east of Warwick.  Again, the majority of these fish fell to bait.  There have also been quote a few catfish landed over the past few weeks.  The Dalrymple Creek around Allora has also seen a few nice fish caught.

Fishing Report 16/9/2014

LESLIE DAM: With the lovely weather conditions over the weekend, Leslie Dam continued to improve.  Local anglers reported on some nice Golden Perch landed just up past the Black Boys and opposite the concrete boat ramps.  The majority of theses fish were caught while casting TN60 Jackalls and there were a few landed on blades.  There were a few Golden Perch and Catfish landed on Saltwater yabbies and worms off the rocks near the dam wall.  Live shrimps also worked quite well, accounting for some quality Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam also produced some nice fish over the weekend.  There were some quality Golden Perch landed on saltwater yabbies from the bank, a little closer to the weed edges than in the deeper water.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Maroon is fishing very well at present, with anglers landing some nice fish over the past week.  There were some lovely Bass and Golden Perch landed while casting OSP Power Dunks and Imakatsu Piranhas.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Fishing in our local rivers and creeks has definitely picked up since the warmer weather.  We had reports of 2 legal Murray Cod landed over the week, both on hard body lures.  There were also some quality Golden Perch landed below the Bacon Factory on saltwater yabbies.  There was also a lovely Murray Cod landed in the Dalrymple over the weekend.

FISHING REPORT - 9/9/2014

LESLIE DAM: Numbers at Leslie Dam are on the increase, with lure anglers having better success than previous weeks.  Local anglers reported on bag limits being filled in an afternoon session.  Anglers hopping Mask Vibes experienced the best results, with other anglers trolling Yo-Zuri 3D Shads along Cod Alley landing some nice fish.  Bait anglers also had some success up near the Black Boys on shrimp.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Comnolly Dam also managed to pick up some nice fish.  The bait anglers had the most success, with anglers landing several nice Golden Perch on worms in the more sheltered areas.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Maroon was the most successful out of these two, with some quality Bass being landed over the past week.  These fish have measured up to 48cm in length and were landed mainly on soft plastics.  One angler reported on landing 11 fish on Saturday on Keitech Easy Shiners. The bait anglers landed some nice fish on live shrimps while fishing the bays to the right of the boat ramp.  There were also some nice Bass landed on fly.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our rivers and creeks produced a few nice fish over the past week.  Local anglers managed to land some legal sized Golden Perch in various locations on both lures and bait.  One local angler landed a lovely Murray Cod in the town area on Sunday afternoon. The Dalrymple Creek at Allora also saw some fish being landed on soft plastics during the past week.

FISHING REPORT - 2/9/2014


LESLIE DAM: With the beautiful weather conditions over the weekend, the fish were on the move.  Anglers managed to land some nice Golden Perch on both lures and bait.  One local anglers landed some nice fish while trolling lures.  There were also some nice fish landed up at the Black Boys on bait.  The lure anglers also managed to land some fish up past the Black Boys while casting Jackalls at the structure.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam landed a variety of fish over the weekend.  There were some nice Golden and Silver Perch landed on both lures and bait.  Jackalls and spinnerbaits were the most successful lures, while worms and saltwater yabbies worked well for the bait anglers.  There was also a few Catfish landed on worms.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Both Moogerah and Maroon have fished quite well over the past week or so.  Anglers at Moogerah landed some nice Bass in the main basin on a variety of lures.   One angler at Maroon landed 14 nice Bass while casting OSP Hard Body lures and soft plastics into the weed pockets.

OTHER DAMS: There have also been some nice fish caught at Somerset.  Both Bass and Golden Perch have been very active.  These fish fell to blades, soft plastics and ice-jigs.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Fishing in our local river and creek systems has also picked up over the past week or so, mainly due to the weather conditions and the rainfall we had over the past few weeks.  One local angler landed a lovely 70cm Murray Cod on a surface lure in the Condamine River at Sandy Creek.  There were also a few nice fish landed in the Pratten area as well as to the east of Warwick at Murrays Bridge.

FISHING REPORT - 26/8/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam didn't see too many anglers brave the weather conditions.  Those diehard anglers that did managed to land a few fish, mainly trolling hard body bibbed lures up towards the back of the dam in the more sheltered areas.  One local angler landed 3 legal sized Golden Perch on Sunday while trolling OSP Blitz EX-DR.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam saw some nice Golden Perch landed on bait over the weekend.  Sunday saw a few anglers as they could find shelter out of the wind.  Anglers managed to land some nice Golden and Silver Perch, mainly on worms.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: One local angler landed some nice Bass on Friday afternoon at Moogerah.  These fish were landed in the main basin on mask vibes and blades.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creeks fished quite well over the past week, with some nice Golden Perch landed in various locations.  There were a few fish caught in the Condamine River at Pratten and Lyndhurst Lane.  These fish were landed on Yo-Zuri 3D Cranks and Live Target Crawfish.  There were also a few smaller Golden Perch landed near the Scots Weir on spinnerbaits.

FISH OF THE WEEK - 19/8/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam saw a few nice fish landed during last week.  A couple of Toowoomba anglers landed a couple of legal sized Murray Cod while trolling RMG hard body lures.  They measured 64cm and 70cm.  There weren't too many anglers brave the weather conditions over the weekend.  The ones that did only manage a few fish, mainly on bait.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam was fairly quiet as well.  Local anglers managed to land a couple of fish in the more sheltered areas.  These fish were landed mainly on saltwater yabbie with the odd Silver Perch falling to worms.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam hosted round 5 of Basstastic competition over the weekend.   There are some quality fish being landed.  The terrible weather conditions had an impact on numbers, but those who braved them managed to landed some nice Bass.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creeks have seen a few nice fish landed over the past week or so.  There were a few quality Golden Perch landed around Stanthorpe and Balandean, as well as to the areas to the west and east of Warwick.

FISHING REPORT - 12/8/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam saw a slight increase on the number of fish being landed, mainly due to the better weather conditions.  Most lure anglers only reported on landing up to four legal sized Golden Perch over the weekend.  Anglers had success while trolling along the western bank near Cod Alley, as well as to the south of the Black Boys.  One local angler landed two nice Golden Perch on Monday, while jigging blades across from the dam wall.  The bait anglers reported on worms working the best, with a few lovely Silver Perch landed off the bank near the Washpool.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam has been a bit quiet this week with only a few fish being landed, mainly on bait.  Saltwater yabbies and worms seem to work the best, with the most successful area being up near the dam wall.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam continues to produce a few nice Bass.  They have been landed on a variety of lures, including mask vibes, tail spinners and ice-jigs.  There are still two large schools of Bass in the main basin. However, these fish have seen a fair bit of pressure.

RIVER AND CREEKS: The Condamine River around the local area has been a little slow over the past week, with not too many anglers having success.  W had reports of some quality Golden Perch landed to the west of Warwick on Oar-gee Plows.  There were also a few fish landed to the east of Warwick, mainly on bait.



***TIP OF THE WEEK***

When beach fishing, it is best to fish the gutters, which are distinguished by darker deep looking water.  These gutters are where the fish will move into to feed and seek shelter.  The best times to fish these areas is around dawn and dusk or a run in tide.

FISH OF THE WEEK - Thursday 7/8/2014

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam saw only a few anglers land some fish over the weekend, mainly due to the windy weather conditions.  The lure anglers had success while using blades and hopping Jackall Mask Vibes around the rocky structure in the main basin.  Numbers weren't huge but the fish landed were quality fish.  We also received reports from campers at Leslie Dam that there was a 64cm Murray Cod landed by an Ipswich angler on a saltwater yabby.  They also managed a few legal Golden Perch.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam anglers managed to land a few fish over the weekend.  There were some legal sized Golden and Silver Perch landed on worms and saltwater yabbies in the sheltered areas.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam hosted the Jackall Moogerah Teams Competition over the weekend.  What a fabulous weekend and a huge congratulations to all of the organisers.  Most of the fish landed during this competition fell to ice-jigs, tail spins, blades, soft plastics and Jackall Mask Vibes.  The majority were caught in the main basin.  Maroon continues to be very quiet with only the odd fish being landed on soft plastics in the weed pockets.  Shrimps are also proving to be quite successful.

RIVER AND CREEKS: The Condamine River around Lyndhurst produced a few legal sized Golden Perch over the weekend.  These anglers were trolling Oargee Plows from their kayaks.  One local angler also landed 2 legal sized Golden Perch, just below the High School, on a purple JMH Spinnerbait on Saturday morning.

FISH OF THE WEEK - 29/7/2014

LESLIE DAM: There were a few Golden Perch landed at Leslie over the weekend, with the best report of up to 8 legal size fish being landed.  Anglers seemed to have the most success by vertically jigging blades.  TN70 Jackalls also accounted for a few nice Golden Perch in the main basin.  The bait anglers also had some success around the boulders across from the dam wall.
CONNOLLY DAM: Fishing is continuing to be a little slow at Connolly.  We received reports of a few legal Silver Perch landed on bait over the weekend.  It has been mentioned on numerous occasions that Connolly is particularly a great dam for land based anglers as there are many coves where you can seek shelter from the wind.
MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Maroon has been very quiet with both bait and lure anglers struggling.  There were a few nice Bass landed on shrimps in amongst the weed pockets.  Good luck to all the anglers participating in the Jackall Competition being held at Moogerah Dam this weekend.
RIVER AND CREEKS: There were a few nice Golden Perch landed to the east of Warwick on bait.  We also had reports of a few undersized Murray Cod landed out this side of town as well.  There were some legal sized Golden Perch landed in the Pratten area.  The Macintyre also fish quite well around the Inglewood area.  There were two legal sized Murray Cod landed over the weekend on Crays.

FISH OF THE WEEK - 22/7/2014

LESLIE DAM: Fishing at Leslie Dam has improved over the past week or so but is still fairly consistent with this time of year.  There were a fish landed on bait in the main basin, opposite the dam wall, on Sunday.  Lure anglers are having mixed results, with some nice fish being caught and released.  Anglers who are able to locate the fish on their sounders, particularly around the rocky structure, have been landing in excess of 30 fish.
CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam has again been very quiet this week, with only a few reports of fish being landed over the weekend.  There were a few legal sized Golden Perch landed on saltwater yabbies on Sunday.  The eastern bank seemed to be the most successful.
MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Not much had been reported at both Moogerah and Maroon Dam over the past week or so.  Lets hope the Bass are firing for the up and coming Jackall Tournament, being held on the first weekend in August.
RIVER AND CREEKS: The Condamine River in Warwick has been a little quiet.  One local angler had success landing a quality Golden Perch and an undersize Murray Cod in the Mill Hole using a spinnerbait.  There was a lovely 45 pound Murray Cod landed in the Texas area on a Jackall Pompadour.  There were also a few legal size Golden Perch landed around the Killarney area.  We also had reports that were some nice fish landed in the Inglewood area, with 2 legal size Murray Cod landed in the Macintyre Brook on spinnerbaits.
