FISH OF THE WEEK - 29/7/2014

LESLIE DAM: There were a few Golden Perch landed at Leslie over the weekend, with the best report of up to 8 legal size fish being landed.  Anglers seemed to have the most success by vertically jigging blades.  TN70 Jackalls also accounted for a few nice Golden Perch in the main basin.  The bait anglers also had some success around the boulders across from the dam wall.
CONNOLLY DAM: Fishing is continuing to be a little slow at Connolly.  We received reports of a few legal Silver Perch landed on bait over the weekend.  It has been mentioned on numerous occasions that Connolly is particularly a great dam for land based anglers as there are many coves where you can seek shelter from the wind.
MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Maroon has been very quiet with both bait and lure anglers struggling.  There were a few nice Bass landed on shrimps in amongst the weed pockets.  Good luck to all the anglers participating in the Jackall Competition being held at Moogerah Dam this weekend.
RIVER AND CREEKS: There were a few nice Golden Perch landed to the east of Warwick on bait.  We also had reports of a few undersized Murray Cod landed out this side of town as well.  There were some legal sized Golden Perch landed in the Pratten area.  The Macintyre also fish quite well around the Inglewood area.  There were two legal sized Murray Cod landed over the weekend on Crays.
