Fishing Report 17/10/2017

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam have commented on fish numbers being slightly down on previous weeks, mainly due to the change in weather conditions.  Anglers landed a few legal sized Golden Perch from the bank at the Washpool Reserve and the boat ramps on saltwater yabbies and shrimps.  Blades, mask vibes and Atomic Semi-Hardz continue to land some nice fish in the main basin.  Anglers casting spinnerbaits around the rocks opposite the Dam Wall also managed to land a few nice fish.

CONNOLLY DAM: Bait anglers at Connolly Dam landed a few better Golden Perch mid week, with reports of Golden Perch measuring up to 52cm in length.  Small crays, shrimps and saltwater yabbies all landed fish.  Anglers also reported on landing some legal sized Silver Perch and the odd Catfish on worms.  Anglers casting spinnerbaits and smaller hard body lures also landed some nice Golden Perch as well as some smaller Cod later in the afternoons.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River has slowed a little in the town area.  Anglers have reported on some nice Golden Perch being landed on the eastern side of town.  There were a few Golden Perch landed downstream of Killarney, around Murray’s Bridge, Cullendore and near the Rockies.  These fish were landed on bait.

COOLMUNDA DAM: Anglers at Coolmunda have landed some solid Golden Perch over the past week on lures and bait.  Anglers trolling hard body lures landed a few Murray Cod.  Anglers casting vibes and blades also managed to land some big Golden Perch as well as a few better Murray Cod measuring around the 70cm mark.
