Fishing Report 19/6/2018

LESLIE DAM: Things were fairly quiet over the weekend, mainly due to the weather conditions.  We received reports from local anglers of some good numbers of Golden Perch being landed in the deeper water in the main basin.  Blades continue to be the most successful lure, with Atomic Semi Harz also accounting for some nice fish.  Anglers fishing along the bank experienced mixed results, with a few going home empty handed.  Anglers trolling diving hard body lures landed the odd Golden Perch towards the back of the dam.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly was a little slow over the weekend, with only a couple of reports of legal sized Golden Perch being landed.  A Toowoomba angler landed two legal sized Golden Perch on a Whiptail Piglet.  We received a couple of reports of a few Silver Perch and Catfish landed along the bank on worms.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: Anglers fishing the Condamine River upstream of Scots Weir landed a few smaller Golden Perch on bait.  Anglers also reported on several big carp being removed from the river below the Bacon Factory on corn.  We also received reports of the odd Golden Perch and a few Catfsh being landed on worms in the Cullendore/Murrays Bridge area.

Rob's NEW Surface Wake Bait has a great swimming action with a rattling clicking sound!

Made by Rob Taylor, this lure is light enough to cast on conventional Baitcast or Spin Outfits. Originally created in timber, Rob chose to manufacture the final product using an injection moulding process that adds a rattling clicking sound (as the segments brush against each other) to enhance the Reptile's great swimming action.
