Fishing Report 16/7/2018

LESLIE DAM: There was some quality fish landed at Leslie over the past week.  We received reports of several Golden Perch landed on both lures and bait.  Blades continue to be the most successful for the lure anglers, with shrimps and saltwater yabbies landing some nice fish for the bait anglers in the main basin.  The majority of the fish are sitting in approximately 6 metres of water.  There were reports of some Murray Cod on the move, with two nice fish being caught and released.  These fish measured 81cm and 102cm, with both being landed on soft vibes.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly landed a few Golden and Silver Perch along the bank, with bait being a little more successful than lures.  Kayak anglers landed a few nice Golden Perch over the weekend while trolling small hardbody lures.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River remains consistent with previous weeks, with only the odd legal sized fish being landed in the town area.  Spinnerbaits accounted for a lovely 70cm Murray Cod upstream of the Mill Hole.  We also received reports of only the odd legal sized Golden Perch being landed.  The Eastern side of town continues to be the most successful area to try.
