FISHING REPORT 30/6/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam anglers had reasonable success on Golden Perch.  This was due mainly due to the warmer weather.  There have been several quality Golden Perch landed on live and frozen bait.  Most fish are sitting in approximately 20 feet of water, close to the bottom.  The lure anglers are having best results on blades and mask vibes.  We also received reports of two legal sized Murray Cod being landed over the weekend.  One was landed on shrimp while fishing from the bank near the Washpool.  The other was landed on a spinnerbait while casting the rocks opposite the dam wall.

CONNOLLY DAM: There were a few fish landed at Connolly Dam over the weekend, with bait proving to be the most successful.  There were several quality Silver Perch landed on worms.  There have been no reports of legal sized Murray Cod.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: There were several Bass landed at Moogerah over the weekend.  Anglers fishing the schooled fish saw the best results.  Soft plastics, ice-jigs and mask vibes all worked well.  Most Bass are being landed in the main basin.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The local creek and river systems have been fishing well, with several anglers landing some quality Golden Perch over the past week.  The most successful spots were the Mill hole, below Scots Weir and at Murray’s Bridge.  There were several legal sized Murray Cod landed to the west of Warwick over the weekend, with surface lures working well.  One young angler landed a lovely 101cm Murray Cod on a surface lure in the Inglewood area.
