FISHING REPORT 7/7/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam remains similar to last week.  There were several fish landed over the weekend, with both lures and bait working well.  Anglers reported on landed several large Silver Perch on worms.  One angler caught and released a lovely 90cm Murray Cod off the bank on a hard body lure.  There have also been some quality Golden Perch landed in the main basin on shrimps and lures.  Blades continue to be the most successful lure.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam continues to fish fairly consistently, with some nice Silver Perch and Catfish being landed over the past week.  Bait continues to be the most successful at the moment.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam has been fishing quite well.  Not all anglers managed to land fish.  Anglers using their sounders to locate the fish had the most success.  There were plenty of legal sized Bass landed, with soft plastics proving to be the most successful lure to use.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: Our local rivers and creek systems continue to fish very well, with several reports of legal sized Golden Perch being landed in the town area.  Spinnerbaits accounted for a few Golden Perch in the Mill Hole on Saturday afternoon.  We also received reports of several small Murray Cod being landed on surface lures between Murrays Bridge and Canningvale.  Campers at Pratten also had success on crays, landing three Golden Perch and a legal sized Murray Cod over the weekend.  Kings Creek, around the Clifton area, has also been fishing quite well.  One local angler managed to land two lovely Golden Perch and two Catfish on Monday afternoon while using saltwater yabbies.

PRODUCT REVIEW

Luckycraft Sammy Bug 75

The new Limited edition Sammy Bug features a loosely mounted front cup which creates a metallic sound whilst walking, a fizzer tail and Decoy W-77 trebles.  It casts long and will stand up to the punishment of a big cod.  The melodic fish calling action and sound will generate explosive surface strikes.
