Fishing Report 03/01/2018

Leslie Dam: Anglers at Leslie Dam landed some good numbers over the Christmas break.  The severe storms over the weekend made fishing a little difficult for anglers.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed on both bait and lures.  Saltwater yabbies worked well for the bait anglers, with blades being the most successful for the lure anglers.  anglers reported on some quality Murray cod being landed, with two fish measuring in excess of 90cm. These fish were both landed on trolled hard body lures.

Connolly Dam: Golden Perch at Connolly were more active than previous weeks, with reports of some better Golden Perch landed from the bank on worms.  Spinnerbaits trolled along the western edge from kayaks landed some legal sized Golden Perch.

Rivers and Creeks: The Condamine River continues to fish well, with several anglers landing some quality fish.  Anglers are reporting on some larger Murray Cod being landed in, or very close to the town area, with the best one measuring 86cm. This fish was landed on a surface lure.  We received reports of fish being landed in Killarney, Murray's Bridge, the Mill Hole and upstream of Scots Weir.  Spinnerbaits and surface lures are working the best on Cod.

Maroon Dam: Anglers fishing Maroon are landing some healthy Bass at the moment, with early to mid morning being the most successful time of the day.  Spinnerbaits and soft plastics have been working well when fished along the weed edges.  Shrimps accounted for a few bass for the bait anglers.
