Fishing Report 22/1/2018

LESLIE DAM: Things were a little quieter at Leslie Dam this week, with a few less legal sized Golden Perch landed than previous weeks.  Anglers reported on several large Catfish being landed on bait, with trolled hard body lures working well for the lure anglers.  The majority of these fish were landed in front of the Washpool Camping Ground.  Anglers also reported on several smaller Murray Cod on the move.

CONNOLLY DAM: Bait anglers at Connolly Dam had more success this week, with some solid Golden and Silver Perch on the move.  Fresh shrimps seem to be the most successful form of bait, with some quality fish being landed, some of these fish measuring up to 55cm in length.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River continued to fish well in some spots, with others being a little quieter (particularly in the town area).  Anglers reported on larger Murray Cod on the move, with reports of fish up to 90cm being landed.  With the lower water level, we have received several reports of some big Carp being landed on worms.  Spinnerbaits managed to land a few legal sized Golden Perch in the Cullendore area over the weekend.
