Fishing Report 29/5/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish reasonably well, with reports of some good numbers of Golden Perch being landed during the past week.  Anglers fishing with frozen shrimps landed some solid Golden Perch in the main basin, with late afternoon proving to be the most successful time.  We also received reports of Golden Perch being landed on blades, soft vibes and trolled hard body lures.  We received reports of a few smaller Murray Cod on the move.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly remains consistent, with anglers reporting on small numbers being landed along the bank on bait.  Anglers reports that worms accounted for a few Silver Perch over the past week.  We also received a report of a nice 64cm Murray Cod being landed mid week by a Pittsworth angler.  This fish was landed from the bank on a Southern Cross Top Ass.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: Anglers fishing the Condamine River experienced mixed results, with the town area fishing a little better.  There were a few more Golden Perch landed than previous weeks.  Smaller diving hard body lures and spinnerbaits accounted for a few Golden Perch between Scots Weir and the Mill Hole.  Anglers fishing from their kayaks in the Cullendore area also managed to land the odd legal sized Golden Perch, with spinnerbaits proving to be the lure of choice.  The western side of Warwick remains a little slow, with reports of only a few fish being landed around the Pratten area.

PRODUCT REVIEW

Live Target Mouse

The LiveTarget Hollow Body Field Mouse is the perfect treat for Cod stalking in heavy cover, waiting to ambush their quarry. This weedless tool is most effective when skirted across the tops of pads and grass mats; however it also has an incredible side-to-side walk-the-dog action when used in open runs. The intricate life-like details make this rodent so realistic you’ll swear it is alive. The rat is back, the new LiveTarget Hollow Body Field Mouse.
