FISHING REPORT - 10/3/2015

LESLIE DAM: There was a slight improvement on previous weeks at Leslie, with reports of some quality Golden Perch landed in the main basin along the western bank opposite the concrete boat ramps.  These fish were landed on shrimps and saltwater yabbies.  The lure anglers also reported on more activity than previous weeks, with blades and TN60 Jackalls working well.  One local angler had success while trolling Hydrobugs around the Black Boys.  He managed to land a 67cm Murray Cod and 4 legal sized Golden Perch.

CONNOLLY DAM: The kayak anglers had the best results at Connolly Dam over the weekend.  We received several reports of smaller Murray Cod being caught and released.  Most of these fish were landed while trolling hard body lures.  We also received reports of some nice Silver Perch and Catfish being landed on worms off the bank.

COOLMUNDA DAM: Coolmunda Dam has been fishing very well over the past week or so.  We received several reports of quality fish being landed on lures and bait.  There were numerous legal sized Murray Cod and plenty of Golden Perch landed over the weekend on spinnerbaits and larger hard body lures.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River to the east of Warwick has been the most productive fishing spot again this week.  This is due mainly to the clarity of the water.  We received reports of some quality Golden Perch being landed in the Killarney area.  There was also a lovely 72cm Murray Cod caught and released on a Luckycraft Keroll Max.  The town area of Warwick has been a little slow.  A Scots College boarder landed a lovely Golden Perch on a spinnerbait.
