Fishing Report - 31/3/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam remains fairly quiet, with not too much to report.  There were only a few reports of legal sized Golden Perch landed over the weekend.  The majority of these fish were landed on hard body lures while being trolled.  There were a few fish landed in the main basin on shrimps.  We received a report of a legal sized Murray Cod being landed while trolling a RMG hard body.  Over all, things have been a little slow.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam continues to fish fairly consistently, with a few fish being landed over the past week.  The majority of these fish were landed on bait.  Worms and saltwater yabbies proved to be the most successful bait to use.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah and Maroon are both fishing well.  Anglers at Moogerah continue to have success while fishing the edge of the timbered area with TN60s and Piranhas.  We received several reports from Maroon that live shrimps were working the best.  The lure anglers had success along the weed edges while using spinnerbaits and soft plastics.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The water clarity of Condamine River in the town area has improved, however the fishing still remains fairly slow.  We received reports from the eastern side of Warwick of several big carp being landed over the weekend.  There were also some lovely Golden Perch landed on spinnerbaits and blade spinners.  There were a few Catfish landed near the Scots College Weir.
