Fishing Report - 15/8/2016

LESLIE DAM: Anglers fishing the main basin had success on blades and mask vibes.  The fish are holding close to the bottom so sinking lures are working well.  One lucky angler managed to land a 68cm Murray Cod on a black and orange JMH Spinnerbait.  Anglers using bait along the eastern bank landed a few big Catfish on worms.  Saltwater yabbies and frozen shrimps landed some nice Golden Perch in the deeper water.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam remains much the same as previous weeks, with some lovely Golden Perch landed off the bank on bait.  Saltwater yabbies and live worms are working well when fished closed to the weed edge.  One local angler landed a lovely 8kg Murray Cod on a saltwater yabbies and worm cocktail.  Anglers are also landed some solid fish on spinnerbaits when fished close to the weed.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River has improved, with several reports of anglers having the best results on the eastern side of Warwick.  We received reports of four legal sized Murray Cod and several Golden Perch being landed on lures.  Most of the popular fishing holes produced fish.

MAROON DAM: Maroon Dam saw some quality Bass landed over the past week.  Most of these fish were landed tight in the weed, with anglers having the most success on crankbaits when fished over the weed beds.

Shimano Caius 150 Reel
