Fishing Report 16/5/2017

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish well, with most anglers landing some nice fish over the weekend.  Bait proved to be very successful, with reports of good numbers of Golden Perch being landed on frozen shrimps in approximately 5 metres of water.  The most successful areas were up near the Black Boys and in the main basin near the Ski Club.  Blades, TN Jackalls and Mask Vibes continue to work well for the lure anglers.  Anglers reported on a few quality Golden Perch being landed while trolling, but casting seems to be the most successful method for the lure anglers.  Several smaller Murray Cod were caught and released over the weekend.  Most of these fish were landed on a variety of lures.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam continue to land some nice fish, with anglers reporting on some nice Golden and Silver Perch being landed over the past week.  Anglers have reported on some solid fish being landed from the bank on worms, saltwater yabbies and shrimps.  Kayak anglers landed some nice Golden Perch while trolling diving hard body lures and spinnerbaits over the weekend.  One angler also reported on landing a lovely 68cm Murray Cod on a Jackall Pompadour.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well at present, with anglers landing some nice fish in and around the town area of Warwick.  The water clarity continues to improve making lures are little more successful than previous weeks.  Most of the usual spots are producing some nice fish, with Killarney and Pratten areas definitely worth a try.  Anglers are also landing some nice fish around the Inglewood area.
