Fishing Report 2/5/2017

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish well, with most anglers having success over the past week and into the weekend.  There were good numbers of Golden Perch landed in the main basin on a variety of bait and lures.  There were a few larger Golden Perch landed on blades, TN60 Jackalls and soft plastics.  Soft plastics on a ½ oz jighead proved to be very successful when being casted by anglers.  Anglers trolling hard body lures also managed to land some quality fish. There were also reports of some nice Murray Cod on the move.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam saw a few better Golden Perch landed over the weekend, with the best fish landed on bait.  Saltwater yabbies proved to be the most successful.  Anglers reported on some solid Silver Perch being landed on worms from the bank.  Anglers using lures landed a few under sized Murray Cod over the weekend, with spinnerbaits seeing the best results.  We received reports of a few legal sized Murray Cod being landed on  Spinnerbaits, with the largest measuring 69cm in length.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River continues to produce some solid Golden Perch on both lures and bait, with several reports of fish being landed over the weekend.  We received reports of three legal sized Murray Cod being landed  with the best measuring 72cm.  This fish was landed on a Stumpjumper lure.  Anglers in the Cullendore area also managed to land some legal sized Murray Cod.  There were also reports of legal sized Golden Perch being landed in the town area.
