Fishing Report 30/5/2017

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam continue to land some reasonable numbers of Golden Perch.  We received numerous reports of over 20 fish being landed in one session, with the majority of these fish being under size.  Shrimps, saltwater yabbies and worms worked well for the bait anglers, fishing mainly in the deeper water in the main basin.  Blades and mask vibes continue to land some nice fish for the lure anglers.  An angler from Clifton reported on landing a lovely 71cm Murray Cod early on Tuesday morning on a Jackall Pompadour.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam reported on landing some larger Golden Perch than previous weeks.  Numbers weren’t huge but there were some quality fish amongst them.  Anglers fishing along the bank had more success on bait than lures.  Spinnerbaits and soft plastics proved to be a little more successful closer to the wall of the dam.

MOOGERAH DAM: There were a few Bass landed over the weekend, with most of these fish being landed in the deeper water in the main basin to the west of the day ramps.  Tailspinners and mask vibes accounted for a few larger Bass over the past week.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River continues to fish quite well, with some lovely Golden Perch landed on lures in and around the town area.  Spinnerbaits and smaller hard body lures are working well in the river at present.  Anglers using bait are landing a few Golden Perch, with reports of some nice fish being landed in the Killarney, Murrays Bridge and Wheatvale areas.
