FISHING REPORT - 24/2/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam didn’t see too much action in the earlier part of the weekend due to the weather conditions.  There were a few legal sized Golden Perch landed on Sunday afternoon off the eastern bank on bait.  Shrimps were the most successful for the bait anglers.  For the lure anglers, spinnerbaits accounted for a few fish around the structure.  Blades also worked quite well in the main basin.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam remains much the same with most anglers having the weekend off due to the poor weather conditions.  We received reports of a couple of fish being landed over the weekend.  These fish were landed on saltwater yabbies off the bank towards the dam wall.

MOOGERAH/MAROON DAM: Anglers fishing Maroon early into this week saw some good results.  There were plenty of small Bass landed on Jackalls, Piranhas, Blades and Soft Plastics.  Most of the fish were landed along the weed edges.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is flowing once again with the rainfall received over the weekend.  This has changed the clarity of the water yet again, making it difficult for the lure anglers in particular.  Anglers reported a few legal sized Golden Perch being landed to the west of Warwick.  Both the Mill Hole and Scots Weir proved to be the most successful spots in town to try.

FISHING REPORT 10/2/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam anglers are reporting on things being a little slower.  There were a few quality fish caught over the weekend on bait, with saltwater yabbies being the most successful.  One angler managed to land 6 legal sized Golden Perch on Saturday afternoon up near the "Black Boys" on saltwater yabbies.  The lure anglers did it a little tougher, with reports of of a few fish being landed on blades.  One angler reported on landing a lovely 10kg Murray Cod on a Predatek up near the dam wall.  A local angler managed to land 3 Golden Perch while trolling a Kezza Mud Mouse in the main basin.

CONNOLLY DAM:  Anglers fishing Connolly Dam managed to pick up a few nice fish over the weekend.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed off the bank on worms and saltwater yabbies.  One local angler also had success while casting spinnerbaits off the edges.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON: Maroon anglers had success over the weekend, with beetle spins and soft plastics proving to be The most successful.  There were good numbers of Bass along the southern bank just off the weed edges.  Anglers also had success while using spinnerbaits.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Our local river systems have been a little quiet over the past week.  The bait fisherman seem to be landing a few fish, with a local Freestone angler having success while using worms.  There were a couple of nice Golden Perch landed in the Mill Hole on worms.  Anglers fishing to the east of Warwick seemed to have the most success, particularly around Murrays Bridge.

FISHING REPORT - 3/2/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has been a little quiet this week.  Anglers have managed a few legal sized Golden Perch but numbers weren't great.  One local angler landed 6 legal Golden Perch while trolling a 3D Yozuri in the main basin.  We received reports of some quality Silver Perch being landed in various spots off the bank, with live worms proving to be the most successful bait.  Frozen shrimps also accounted for a few Golden Perch in the main basin.

CONNOLLY DAM:  Connolly Dam remains steady, with numbers of legal sized fish being a little down on previous weeks.  One local angler had success while hopping mask vibes in the deeper water.  He managed to land 3 legal sized Golden Perch and a smaller Murray Cod.  Saltwater yabbies worked the best for the bait anglers.  We received reports of some quality Silver a perch being landed from the bank.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON: Moogerah Dam continued to be busy with boating traffic over the weekend.  The timbered area is still proving to be one of the better locations to fish.  Anglers casting Imakatsu Piranhas and TN Jackalls had the most success.  Live shrimps worked well for the bait anglers while fishing in the gorge.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Anglers fishing the Condamine River reported on only a few legal fish for their efforts.  The Mill Hole proved to be one of the more successful spots, with one young angler landing 2 Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon on a spinnerbait.  We also received reports of a few smaller fish being landed in the Wheatvale area.

PRODUCT REVIEW

Imakatsu Aventa Crawler: Special Crawler Bait for super dead-slow retrieving.

The biggest feature of Aventa Crawler is to maintain the good action for long time with super slow retrieving.

The figure which struggle like a drowning by raising his hands from the water with strange sounds, imagine Zombie (WALKING DEAD).

Aventa Crawler is good at switching on the instinct of big Bass having strong territory consciousness, and making him attacked by intimidation.

Keeping a rod in vertical and line above water (around 14lbs line), Aventa Crawler shall be made forward by slacked line weight. If you retrieve in same course many times, Aventa Crawler drives big Bass mad and he bite!
