Fishing Report 28/11/2016

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish well with several anglers reporting on good numbers on both lures and bait.  Frozen shrimps are working in the main basin, with a local family landing over 30 Golden Perch in an afternoon session.  Anglers are reporting on several Murray Cod on the move with some quality fish being landed.  One local angler landed a lovely 85cm Murray Cod on Sunday morning on blade in the main basin.  We also received reports of several Cod being landed on trolled hard body lures, some measuring up to 75cm in length.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam landed a few legal sized Golden Perch over the weekend.  However numbers were down a little on previous weeks.  Anglers fishing with worms landed a few quality Silver Perch.  The lure anglers are reporting on a few smaller Murray Cod on the move up towards the wall end of the dam.  TN60 Jackalls are working the best when fished in the deeper water.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River remains consistent, with some solid Golden Perch being landed in the town area.  We received a few reports of fish being landed near Scots Weir, the Mill Hole and upstream of the Wallace Street Bridge from anglers fishing from their kayaks.  Killarney anglers are also reporting on some Golden Perch on the move.  Anglers in the Pratten and Wheatvale area also had success on bait, with a Clifton angler landing 3 legal sized Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon on worms in Kings Creek.

Fishing Report 21/11/16

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam is fishing very well, with plenty of fish being landed over the past week.  We received several reports from anglers fishing the dam on Saturday landing some good numbers of Golden Perch on lures.  Casting lures at the schooled up fish landed some good numbers, while trolled hard body lures accounted for some nice fish.  Blades and mask vibes when fished on the bottom seemed to work the best for the lure anglers, with darker coloured lures working the best.  Anglers are reporting on some nice Murray Cod on the move, with fish being landed on a variety of lures.  One Millmerran angler landed a lovely 95cm Murray Cod on a trolled hard body.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam anglers are reporting on things being a little slower than previous weeks, with only a few report of legal size Golden Perch being landed on worms. One local kayak angler caught and released a lovely Murray Cod on a spinnerbait.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River in the town area is fishing well, with some anglers landing some nice fish.  Anglers fishing between the Mill Hole and the High School landed some solid Golden Perch on bait.  Other anglers fishing upstream of Tiddalik landed four legal sized Golden Perch on worms.  We also received reports from Pratten, Wheatvale and Cullendore.  Killarney anglers also reported on landing some nice fish on hard body lure.

Fishing Report - 14/11/2016

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam have experienced some good results, particularly mid week.  This was mainly due to the windy conditions over the weekend.  Shrimps and saltwater yabbies worked well in the main basin, with anglers landing plenty of Golden Perch and several small Murray Cod.  Anglers trolling hard body lures also picked up some nice fish in Cod Alley and up towards the Black Boys.  Black and green coloured lures seems to be working the best at the moment.  Anglers fishing the deeper water in the main basin are having success on blades and beetle spins.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam are seeing the best results in the afternoon, with some solid Golden Perch being landed on hard body lures.  Purple seems to be the most successful colour at present.  Shrimps, worms and saltwater yabbies all worked well for the bait anglers.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well, with several reports of Golden Perch being landed in and around the town area.  Lure anglers had more success this week than in previous weeks.  We received several reports of Murray Cod being landed by anglers targeting Golden Perch.  Please remember that it is closed season for Murray Cod (opening again 1 December).  The Dalrymple Creek to the east and west of Allora area has been fishing quite well, with anglers landing some quality Golden Perch on lures.

MOOGERAH DAM: Anglers at Moogerah are reporting on a few Bass on the move.  Anglers trolling along the northern bank and through the timber are landing some nice fish.

Fishing Report - 7/11/16

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam saw some good numbers of Golden Perch landed late last week and early into the weekend.  Several anglers reported on landing these fish on bait, with saltwater yabbies and frozen shrimps working very well.  Lure anglers also picked up some nice fish, with blades working well in the main basin when fished close to the bottom.  Black seems to be the most successful colour at the moment.  TN60 Jackalls are also landing plenty of Golden Perch in the main basin.  We received three reports of legal sized Murray Cod being landed, one fish measuring 101cm.  This fish was landed on a TN60 Jackall in the main basin.  The other Murray Cod were landed on spinnerbaits.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam remains consistent, with several anglers reporting on Golden Perch being landed from the bank.  A Toowoomba angler landed four legal sized Golden Perch and two Silver Perch on Friday afternoon while fishing with saltwater yabbies.  We received reports of some quality Golden Perch being landed on lures, with spinnerbaits and hard body lures all landing fish.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The local river and creek systems are fishing well, particularly the Condamine River on bait.  Anglers fishing in the Pratten area are having success on crays and worms.  We received reports from anglers fishing in the Sandy Creek area are landing some good numbers of Golden Perch on small crays.  Anglers have also landed some nice fish upstream and downstream of Scots Weir.  The Dalrymple Creek around Allora is fishing reasonably well on bait lures and bait.  We received reports of Golden Perch measuring up to 58cm being landed over the past week.
