Fishing Report 20/11/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish reasonably well, with anglers reporting on legal sized Golden Perch being landed along the bank as well as from boats.  Blades continue to work the best in the deeper water.  Anglers trolling hard body lures along the creek line and in the narrow parts of the Dam landed a few legal sized fish.  We have also received reports of some Murray Cod on the move, with several fish being landed during the week.  These fish ranged from 50cm to 80cm in length.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam have reported on some nice Golden Perch on the move over the weekend.  Several anglers landed some quality fish, with kayak anglers landing some lovely Golden and Silver Perch on a variety of lures.  Anglers also reported on a few smaller Murray Cod on the move.  Worms and saltwater yabbies also landed a few nice fish.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River has fished quite well over the past week, with anglers reporting of some nice Golden Perch on the move on the western side of town.  Spinnerbaits and smaller hard body lures accounted for the majority of these fish.  The town area is also worth a look, with local anglers landing a few nice fish.

Fishing Report 13/11/2018

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam have reported on things being a little slower than previous weeks.  Blades and mask vibes landed a few quality Golden Perch in the deeper water in the main basin.  Anglers trolling hard body lures picked up a few better Golden Perch.  A Clifton angler landed four legal sized Golden Perch and a 69cm Murray Cod on Saturday morning on a Kezza Mudmouse.  Shrimps and worms accounted for a few Catfish along the bank.

COOLMUNDA DAM: Anglers at Coolmunda are seeing best results while trolling hard body lures in approximately 1.5 to 3 metres of water.  Anglers fishing with bait have also managed a few Golden Perch along the creek.

MAROON DAM: Anglers at Maroon reported on landing some healthy Bass over the weekend.  Anglers fishing Paddletail Plastics over the weed beds landed some nice Bass, some measuring in excess of 40cm.  We also received reports of blades and tailspinners accounting for the odd fish in the deeper water.

Fishing Report 7/11/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie has seen plenty of boat traffic over the past week.  Murray Cod continue to be quite active, with several fish being landed measuring between 70cm and 106cm in length.  Most of these fish were landed on lures, with spinnerbaits being the most successful.  Anglers reported on plenty of smaller Golden Perch being landed over the weekend on both lures and bait.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam are landing some solid Silver and Golden Perch along the bank.  Anglers casting lures also landed legal sized Golden Perch on TN60 Jackalls and smaller diving hard body lures.  Anglers reported on the odd smaller Murray Cod on the move.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River remains quite dirty in the town area, which has slowed things up for the lures anglers.  We received reports of Golden Perch being landed downstream of Scots Weir and below the Bacon Factory.  Anglers fishing in and around the Killarney areas landed some nice Golden Perch on lures.  Anglers at Millmerran also reported on some legal sized Golden Perch being landed on both lures and bait.
