Fishing Report 27/12/2017

Leslie Dam: Anglers at Leslie Dam landed some solid Golden Perch over the Christmas break from the bank and from boats. Worms and shrimps were the bait of choice for the bait anglers, particularly when fished in the deeper water.  Blades and Mask Vibes continued to land some nice fish for the lure anglers.  Anglers trolling hard body lures also reported on several legal sized Golden Perch as well as plenty of small Murray Cod.

Rivers and Creeks: The Condamine River fished well over the past week, with a few larger Murray Cod on the move.  We received reports from local anglers catching and releasing 3 legal sized Murray Cod, with the biggest measuring around the 80cm mark.  Spinnerbaits continue to work well for these anglers.  Anglers also landed some lovely Golden Perch in the town area on both lures and bait.  TN60 Jackalls and Mumblers were the lures of choice.

Moogerah Dam: Anglers fishing Moogerah have been landing some good numbers of Bass and Golden Perch.  Anglers trolling hard body lures are seeing the best results, with some landing over 20 fish in one session.  Early morning is proving to be the most successful time of the day.

Fishing Report 18/12/2017

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam are having more success than previous weeks, with some good numbers of Golden Perch being landed during the week and into the weekend. Kayak anglers using bait landed some quality Golden Perch opposite the dam on Friday.  Worms have been working well for the bait anglers, with shrimps also landing some nice fish in the main basin.  Murray Cod have also been quite active, with anglers trolling hard body lures and spinnerbaits picking up some nice fish.  These fish were landed in the main basin and in the upper reaches of the dam.

CONNOLLY DAM: Golden Perch have remained a little tight lipped at Connolly, with only a few reports of legal sized fish being landed over the weekend.  Worms and saltwater yabbies accounted for these fish which were landed from the bank.  Smaller hard body lures also landed the odd Golden Perch in the deeper water towards the dam wall.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River saw a slight improvement, with some better fish being landed during the week.  Anglers fishing near the town area reported on a few more legal sized Murray Cod on the move.  We received several reports of Golden Perch being landed on the eastern side of town on both bait and lures.

GLENLYON DAM: Anglers have landed some lovely Murray Cod at Glenlyon over the past week, with several fish measuring around the 90cm mark. Most of these fish were landed on spinnerbaits and larger hard body lures.  There were also some nice Golden Perch landed on Mumblers.
