CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam reported on a few better Golden Perch being
landed on bait. Afternoons seemed to be
the most successful time of the day.
Kayak anglers landed some legal sized Golden Perch while trolling
spinnerbaits and diving hard body lures along the north western end of the dam.
RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine
River saw a bit more
action over the long weekend, with plenty of campers trying their luck. We received reports from Pratten and
Wheatvale of anglers landing some legal sized Golden Perch mainly on bait. The Mill Hole and upstream have seen a few
Golden Perch landed, as well as a legal sized Murray Cod on a Mumbler.
COOLMUNDA DAM: Coolmunda Dam
was also very busy over the long weekend.
Anglers reported on a few Golden Perch being landed in the back of the
dam. We also received a report of two
legal sized Murray Cod measuring approximately 90cm in length, just before the
storm over the weekend. Both these fish
were landed on spinnerbaits.
