FISH OF THE WEEK - 22/7/2014

LESLIE DAM: Fishing at Leslie Dam has improved over the past week or so but is still fairly consistent with this time of year.  There were a fish landed on bait in the main basin, opposite the dam wall, on Sunday.  Lure anglers are having mixed results, with some nice fish being caught and released.  Anglers who are able to locate the fish on their sounders, particularly around the rocky structure, have been landing in excess of 30 fish.
CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam has again been very quiet this week, with only a few reports of fish being landed over the weekend.  There were a few legal sized Golden Perch landed on saltwater yabbies on Sunday.  The eastern bank seemed to be the most successful.
MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Not much had been reported at both Moogerah and Maroon Dam over the past week or so.  Lets hope the Bass are firing for the up and coming Jackall Tournament, being held on the first weekend in August.
RIVER AND CREEKS: The Condamine River in Warwick has been a little quiet.  One local angler had success landing a quality Golden Perch and an undersize Murray Cod in the Mill Hole using a spinnerbait.  There was a lovely 45 pound Murray Cod landed in the Texas area on a Jackall Pompadour.  There were also a few legal size Golden Perch landed around the Killarney area.  We also had reports that were some nice fish landed in the Inglewood area, with 2 legal size Murray Cod landed in the Macintyre Brook on spinnerbaits.
