FISHING REPORT - 14/7/2015

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam didn’t see too much fishing in the latter part of the weekend.  Angers who fished on Saturday had some success, with some quality fish being landed.  We received reports from two local anglers of landing in excess of 20 Golden Perch on Saturday on lures.  These fish were in approximately 50 feet of water.  Blades and Jackall Gene 70 worked the best for the lure anglers.  There were also two legal sized Murray Cod landed on hard body lures while being trolled in the main basin.  Shrimps worked the best for the bait anglers.  The most successful spots were opposite the dam wall and over near the Ski Club.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam remained quiet, mainly due to the terrible weather conditions.  There was the odd fish landed on bait in the sheltered areas of the dam.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: There were several Bass landed in the main basin at Moogerah.  Anglers fishing the schooled fish had the most success while using soft plastics, tail spinners, mask vibes and Jackalls.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River continued to fish reasonably well, with several anglers landing some good sized Golden Perch.  One local Clifton anglers managed to land four Golden Perch on Saturday afternoon in the Pratten area on spinnerbaits.  We also received reports of a few fish being landed in various spots in the town area.  One young local angler also had success on Saturday in the Sandy Creek area, landing some lovely Golden Perch on soft plastics and vibes.  There were also some Catfish and Silver Perch landed at Murrays Bridge on crays.
