Fishing Report - 13/6/2016

LESLIE DAM: Golden Perch at Leslie Dam are still quite active on bait, with several anglers having reasonable success over the past week.  Water temperature is still quite high for June, which is causing the Golden Perch to continue to bite.  Two local Stanthorpe anglers landed their bag limit of Golden Perch over the weekend on small crayfish.  There were reports of some smaller Murray Cod on the move.  Blades in the main basin continue to land some nice fish in the deeper water.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam landed several legal sized Golden Perch during the past week and over the weekend.  Anglers using bait are having the best success.  One local angler landed a lovely 65cm Murray Cod on a shrimp and worm cocktail.  Saltwater yabbies and worms also accounted for several quality Golden and Silver Perch.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well, with several reports of legal sized fish, including two lovely Murray Cod.  Water clarity is on the improve after the recent fresh, with anglers landing some nice fish to the east of Warwick.  One local angler caught and released a lovely 90cm Murray Cod on a spinnerbait.  We also received reports of a 72cm Murray Cod being landed on the town area.  There was also some quality Golden Perch landed in the Mill Hole, mainly on spinnerbaits, measuring 52cm in length.

MAROON DAM: There was several quality Bass landed at Maroon Dam, with the majority of these fish being landed hard in the weed.  Imakatsu Baby Killerbills are working well when used tight in the weed.  One local angler managed 8 legal sized fish in one afternoon session.
