CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam reported on things being much the same, with
only the odd fish landed on lures.
Spinnerbaits and TN60 Jackalls have been the most successful lures over
the past week or so. Saltwater yabbies
and worms also accounted for some reasonable Silver and Golden Perch. These fish were landed off the bank. Numbers haven’t been huge.
RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine
River was in desperate
need of the fresh we received last weekend.
The fish will be on the bite once the water clarity clears. Prior to the rain, anglers were landing some
nice fish in the town area. Saltwater
yabbies accounted for a few legal sized Golden Perch just below Scots Weir. We received reports of a 72cm Murray Cod being landed near Killarney. This fish was landed on a Red and Black 3/8
JMH Spinnerbait.
