CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam anglers’ landed some solid Golden Perch on bait when
fishing from the bank. Shrimps, crays
and saltwater yabbies are all working well at the moment. Anglers fishing in the deeper water towards
the wall end are landing some nice fish on hard body lures and spinnerbaits.
RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine
River didn’t see too many
fish being landed in the town area over the past week. Anglers fishing to the east and west of Warwick experienced some
success, with some Killarney anglers reporting on some solid Golden Perch being
landed on lures. Spinnerbaits worked
well, with black and red being the most successful colour. Anglers fishing around Pratten reported on
some nice Golden Perch, some measuring up to 50cm in length. One lucky angler managed to land a lovely 25
pound Murray
Cod on a crayfish.
