Fishing Report - 4/12/2016

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam are reporting on plenty of Golden Perch on the move, with both lures and bait working well.  Most anglers are commenting on the number of smaller fish being landed.  Anglers who are able to locate the fish on their sounders are having the greatest success.  The lure fishermen are landing some nice fish in approximately 7 to 10 feet from the bottom on most of the usual spots.  Anglers are reporting on a few larger Murray Cod on the move, with some measuring up to 75cm in length.  These fish are being landed on trolled hard body lures.  Blades and mask vibes are accounting for some smaller Golden Perch in the main basin.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam have seen a slight improvement, with Golden Perch numbers on the increase over the weekend.  We received reports of some solid Golden Perch being landed from the bank on bait.  Worms and crays seem to be the most successful, with some anglers reporting on 5 or more fish in an afternoon session.  TN50 Jackalls and spinnerbaits were the lures of choice by many anglers.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well, with some quality Golden Perch being landed in the town area.  Both lures and bait are accounting for some nice fish, with spinnerbaits working particularly well in the town area.  Anglers reported on landing some nice Golden Perch in the Mill Hole, at the Rockies and both upstream and downstream of the Scots Weir.  Anglers fishing around Killarney are also reporting on a few solid Golden Perch being landed on bait.

COOLMUNDA DAM: Anglers at Coolmunda have reported on an improvement on previous weeks, with one lucky female angler landing a lovely 80cm Murray Cod from her kayak on Saturday morning.  This fish was landed on a shrimp.
