CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly remained fairly consistent, with anglers landing some nice
Golden Perch and a few Silver Perch on bait.
Frozen shrimps and worms were the most successful. There were reports of a few smaller Murray
Cod on the move.
RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine
River in most areas is
fishing reasonably well, with several reports of smaller Murray Cod being
landed on a variety of lures and bait.
The eastern side of Warwick
fished better than previous weeks, with anglers landing some nice fish on
spinnerbaits. We also received reports
of two legal sized Murray Cod being landed on surface.
MAROON DAM: Maroon
is fishing well at the moment, with some solid numbers being landed. Anglers fishing the afternoon session had the
most success. Spinnerbaits, blades and
tail spinners worked well for the lure anglers, with shrimps working the best
for the bait anglers.
PRODUCT REVIEW
Mazzy VIB
The big brother of the original Mazzy VIB 60. This
upscaled version is 100mm and 50grams in weight to target the big
predators. The action is an exact copy
of the original, with tail up at rest on the bottom & wide thumping pitch
and roll the Mazzy Vibe is known for.
Designed to target Murray Cod, Barramundi, Jewfish,
monster Golden Perch and will no doubt be a huge winner on saltwater predators
like Snapper. Prototype testing landed plenty of cod over the magic metre and
goldens over 60cm. Cod were up to 118cm!
They also work great on bass, jacks, salmon and trout.
