Fishing Report 5/9/2017

LESLIE DAM: There was a slight increase on fish numbers from last week, with a few better quality fish being landed.  There was a lovely 75cm Murray Cod landed midweek from the bank on a saltwater yabby.  Anglers targeting Golden Perch landed a few nice fish in the main basin on blades and saltwater yabbies.  We also received reports of a Golden and Silver Perch being landed from the bank on worms, between the Ski Club and the concrete boat ramps.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam are reporting on things remaining fairly consistent, with a few Golden and Silver Perch being landed from the bank on crays, saltwater yabbies and shrimps.  Spinnerbaits seem to be working the best for the lure anglers, with the bigger fish being landed on

RIVERS AND CREEKS: Anglers fishing the Condamine River commented on a few more smaller Golden Perch being landed in the town area on both bait and lures.  Spinnerbaits are seeing the best results for the lure anglers.  We received reports of some nice Golden Perch being landed in the Mill Hole, Scots Weir and Lyndhurst Lane Bridge.  We received reports of a few legal sized Golden Perch and an undersized Murray Cod to the east of Warwick.  Don’t forget to release your Murray Cod unharmed as it is now CLOSED SEASON.
