Fishing Report 29/8/2017

LESLIE DAM: Golden Perch at Leslie Dam have slowed down over the past week, with not too many bag limits being filled.  Several bait anglers reported on two to four fish being landed, with mornings being the most successful than afternoons.  Lure anglers are landing the odd fish in the main basin.  OSP and ZX40 Blades continue to work well when being trolled along the edges of the dam.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam managed to land a few reasonable sized Golden Perch mid week and on Saturday, with worms and saltwater yabbies working the best from the bank.  Numbers weren’t huge but there were some quality fish amongst those caught.  3/8 spinnerbaits also landed a few Golden Perch when fished from the bank.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River, on the western side of town, saw some nice fish landed over the past week, with reports coming from Wheatvale, Lyndhurst and Pratten.  Most of these fish were landed on bait.  Anglers are also commenting on plenty of big Carp on the move in the town area.  We received a report of a 62cm Murray Cod being landed downstream of Scots Weir.  This fish was landed on a spinnerbait early on Tuesday morning.

MAROON DAM: Anglers at Marron landed some quality Bass over the weekend, with most of the larger fish being landed on plastics in the weed.  Shrimps also managed to account for a few legal sized Golden Perch and Bass near the wall end of the dam.
