Fishing Report 20/3/2018

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam commented on an increase of numbers over the week and into the weekend.  Anglers using bait had success from both the bank and from the boat.  We received reports of quality Silver Perch and plenty of Catfish being landed from the bank.  Anglers fishing the deeper water in the main basin reported on legal sized Golden Perch on shrimps and saltwater yabbies.  Anglers casting blades and vibes landed some nice Golden Perch in approximately 5 – 7 metres of water in the main basin.  Trolled hard body lures along the Washpool bank and up to the Blackboys landed a few legal sized Golden Perch as well as the odd small Murray Cod.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam landed a few more legal sized Golden Perch than previous weeks, with anglers fishing from the bank having success on most forms of bait.  Spinnerbaits and Chatterbaits trolled along the edge also saw some quality Golden Perch landed from kayaks.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well, with reports of quality fish being landed.  Anglers fishing close to the town area reported on some nice Golden Perch and a few Murray Cod.  Our best report was a lovely 83cm Murray Cod being landed by a local angler on a surface lure.  We received a few reports of Golden Perch being landed at Lyndhurst, Mill Hole and downstream of Murray Bridge.
