Fishing Report 6/3/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam saw a few better fish being landed in the earlier part of the week, with bait anglers seeing the best results.  The weekend saw things slow down, with not too much action to report.  Trolled hard body lures managed to pick up a few smaller Murray Cod, but overall things have been reasonably quiet.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers fishing Connolly experienced a little more success than previous weeks, with reports of two legal sized Murray Cod being landed.  The best of these fish measured 68cm in length.  Both fish were landed on lures from the bank.  Anglers also reported on a few legal sized Silver and Golden Perch being landed on bait, with worms and shrimps being the most successful.  Anglers fishing from their kayaks are seeing the best results, particularly when trolling TN Jackalls and spinnerbaits along the western bank.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River experienced a slight fresh which has changed the clarity of the water slightly.  At this stage it hasn’t had any affect on the fishing.  However, with the further rainfall experience this week, this may change.  Anglers landed some quality Golden Perch in the town area, with reports from the Mill Hole, Scots Weir and Lyndhurst Lane.  Anglers in the Cullendore and Killarney areas also reported on a few Golden Perch on bait.  Anglers fishing in the Pratten and Victoria Hill areas also had some success on spinnerbaits and hard body lures.
