Fishing Report 29/1/19

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam reported on the fishing being a little slower than previous weeks.  Anglers trolling in front of the Washpool landed a few larger Golden Perch on hard body lures.  Anglers using bait reported on the odd legal sized Golden Perch being landed on shrimps and worms.  We received reports of several Catfish being landed on bait.  Anglers reported on a few smaller Murray Cod being landed, with some measuring up to 75cm in length.
 
CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly remains consistent on previous weeks, with a few legal sized fish being landed along the bank on worms and crays.  Anglers fishing from kayaks are experiencing success while casting spinnerbaits in the northern end of the dam.
 
CONDAMINE RIVER: Anglers reported on a few fish being landed over the long weekend.  Anglers fishing to the eastern side of town had the best results on lures, with reports of several smaller Murray Cod being landed.  Anglers fishing in the town area also landed a few legal sized Golden Perch.

Fishing Report 15/1/2019

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam have been landing some lovely Murray Cod over the past week, with several of these fish measuring well over the 1 metre mark.  The largest of these fish measured 110cm in length.  Anglers are having success while trolling and casting spinnerbaits and hard body lures.  Anglers continue to land a few Golden Perch on both lures and bait, with afternoons proving to be the most successful.  We also received several reports of plenty of Catfish on the move.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly saw a few fish being landed over the weekend, with anglers fishing from boats or kayaks having a little more success than the land based anglers.  Anglers trolling hard body lures along the western edges of the dam landed some quality Golden Perch and smaller Murray Cod.  Worms have been the most successful for the anglers using bait, with some legal sized Golden and Silver Perch being reported.

CONDAMINE RIVER: The Condamine River is fishing quite well at the moments, with anglers landing some lovely fish.  We received reports from Killarney, Murrays Bridge and Pratten areas of some nice Golden Perch on the move.  Anglers also continue to land some quality fish in various spots around Warwick.

Fishing Report 3/12/2018

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam found it hard over the weekend, mainly due to the windy weather conditions.  Anglers fishing in the earlier part of the week landed some reasonable fish.  We received reports of some nice Murray Cod being landed, some measuring up to 90cm in length.  These fish were caught on trolled hard body lures in the main basin.  Shrimps, worms and saltwater yabbies all accounted for legal sized Golden Perch.  Anglers continue to land Golden Perch while casting blades and mask vibes in the deeper water.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly is fishing well at the moment, with kayak anglers landing some nice fish early on Saturday morning.  We received several reports of legal sized Golden Perch being landed on a variety of lures.  Anglers also managed to land some smaller Murray Cod while trolling hardy body lures and spinnerbaits.

CONDAMINE RIVER: The Condamine River is definitely worth a try as we received several reports of fish being landed in the town area.  Anglers are having success on both bait and lures, with most fish being landed just on dark.

Fishing Report 20/11/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish reasonably well, with anglers reporting on legal sized Golden Perch being landed along the bank as well as from boats.  Blades continue to work the best in the deeper water.  Anglers trolling hard body lures along the creek line and in the narrow parts of the Dam landed a few legal sized fish.  We have also received reports of some Murray Cod on the move, with several fish being landed during the week.  These fish ranged from 50cm to 80cm in length.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam have reported on some nice Golden Perch on the move over the weekend.  Several anglers landed some quality fish, with kayak anglers landing some lovely Golden and Silver Perch on a variety of lures.  Anglers also reported on a few smaller Murray Cod on the move.  Worms and saltwater yabbies also landed a few nice fish.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River has fished quite well over the past week, with anglers reporting of some nice Golden Perch on the move on the western side of town.  Spinnerbaits and smaller hard body lures accounted for the majority of these fish.  The town area is also worth a look, with local anglers landing a few nice fish.

Fishing Report 13/11/2018

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam have reported on things being a little slower than previous weeks.  Blades and mask vibes landed a few quality Golden Perch in the deeper water in the main basin.  Anglers trolling hard body lures picked up a few better Golden Perch.  A Clifton angler landed four legal sized Golden Perch and a 69cm Murray Cod on Saturday morning on a Kezza Mudmouse.  Shrimps and worms accounted for a few Catfish along the bank.

COOLMUNDA DAM: Anglers at Coolmunda are seeing best results while trolling hard body lures in approximately 1.5 to 3 metres of water.  Anglers fishing with bait have also managed a few Golden Perch along the creek.
 
MAROON DAM: Anglers at Maroon reported on landing some healthy Bass over the weekend.  Anglers fishing Paddletail Plastics over the weed beds landed some nice Bass, some measuring in excess of 40cm.  We also received reports of blades and tailspinners accounting for the odd fish in the deeper water.

Fishing Report 7/11/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie has seen plenty of boat traffic over the past week.  Murray Cod continue to be quite active, with several fish being landed measuring between 70cm and 106cm in length.  Most of these fish were landed on lures, with spinnerbaits being the most successful.  Anglers reported on plenty of smaller Golden Perch being landed over the weekend on both lures and bait.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam are landing some solid Silver and Golden Perch along the bank.  Anglers casting lures also landed legal sized Golden Perch on TN60 Jackalls and smaller diving hard body lures.  Anglers reported on the odd smaller Murray Cod on the move.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River remains quite dirty in the town area, which has slowed things up for the lures anglers.  We received reports of Golden Perch being landed downstream of Scots Weir and below the Bacon Factory.  Anglers fishing in and around the Killarney areas landed some nice Golden Perch on lures.  Anglers at Millmerran also reported on some legal sized Golden Perch being landed on both lures and bait.

Fishing Report 31/10/2018

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam are reporting on plenty of fish on the move over the past week.  Murray Cod have been quite active, with several larger fish being landed.  Spinnerbaits continue to be very successful when casting the structure in the main basin.  They have also accounted for some nice fish when being trolled.  There has also been reports of some quality Golden Perch being landed.  Some anglers have reported on landing up to 35 fish in a session.  Anglers are seeing he best results when locating the schooled Golden Perch on their sounders and jigging blades off the bottom.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam reported on a few more Golden Perch being landed than previous weeks.  Anglers using worms accounted for a few legal sized Silver Perch along the bank.  Anglers also reported on a few Murray Cod on the move, with some better fish being landed on lures.  An angler from Gatton caught and released a lovely 82cm Murray Cod on Friday morning on a Jackall Gantarel.


RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River remains a little quiet at present, particularly for the lures anglers.  This is mainly due to the poor water clarity.  Anglers landed several legal sized Golden Perch in the town area on bait.  Anglers fishing downstream of the Bacon Factory reported on some nice Golden Perch being landed, with some measuring up to 43cm.  These fish were all landed on worms.  We also received several reports of big Carp being removed from the river.
