Fishing Report 17/4/2018

LESLIE DAM: Anglers at Leslie Dam saw the best results in the latter part of the week and into the weekend.  Numbers weren’t huge but there were some quality fish amongst them.  There were reports of some Golden Perch landed, measuring up to 50cm in length.  We also received reports of a few legal sized Cod on the move, with a Millmerran angler landing two nice fish on Sunday on spinnerbaits.  Bait continues to work well when fished from the bank.  Blades and soft vibes continue to be the lures of choice.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is a little quiet at present, with anglers landing the odd legal sized Golden Perch along the bank on bait.  We received a report from a local kayak angler who landed a 67cm Murray Cod over the weekend while trolling a red and black spinnerbait.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River is fishing well in some places along the Condamine River.  The town area is a little quiet, with anglers landing the odd fish below Warwick High and upstream of Scots Weir on hard body lures.  Anglers around Murrays Bridge and Cullendore area continue to land some reasonable fish on lures.  The western side of town is certainly worth a look.
