Fishing Report 1/5/2018

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam continues to fish reasonably well, with anglers fishing along the bank having more success than from boats.  We have received several reports from anglers fishing between the Washpool and the boat ramps of some good fish being landed.  Anglers reported on several Golden Perch being landed around the 35cm mark.  Anglers trolling mid week landed a few smaller Murray Cod on yellow and black hard body lures.  ZX40 Blades continue to be the most successful in the deeper water.  There are also still plenty of Catfish on the move.

CONNOLLY DAM: Anglers at Connolly Dam landed some solid Golden Perch over the weekend, with bait having a little more success than lures.  Worms and saltwater yabbies accounted for some legal sized Golden Perch along the eastern bank.  There were some nice Golden Perch landed by kayak anglers when trolling spinnerbaits in the deeper water across from the wall.

RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine River was a little slower in the town area this week, with not too many reports.  We received a report from a local angler of a few undersize Golden Perch being landed upstream of the Madson Bridge on bait.  There was also a report of a 56cm Murray Cod caught and released in the Mill Hole on a Whiptail Boar.  Anglers in the Pratten area have reported on only the odd fish being landed.
