CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly remained fairly consistent on previous weeks. Anglers fishing along the eastern edge of the
dam landed Golden and Silver Perch on worms and saltwater yabbies. Anglers also reported on some big Catfish on
the move. Kayak anglers reported on
things being quiet over the weekend, with only a handful of Golden Perch being
landed on smaller hard body lures.
RIVERS AND CREEKS: The Condamine
River has seen an increase
of Golden Perch being landed over the past week. We received numerous reports from both sides
of town of fish being landed on lures, with spinnerbaits being the most
successful. Anglers fishing in the
Pratten and Millmerran areas reported on some good numbers of Golden Perch,
with reports of a few Murray Cod on the move.
Remember that it is Closed Cod Season so they must be returned to the
water as soon as possible.
